Citing NobleID in LaTeX
Overleaf, OpenAI Prism, or any local TeX setup: put the BibTeX entry in your .bib file and cite it as usual.
1. Get the entry
- On any work page, click Cite, then Copy BibTeX or Download .bib.
- Or fetch it directly: add
.bibto the work page address, e.g. https://www.nobleid.org/work/w1/20261005/BC4009E1.bib. RIS is at.risand CSL-JSON at.csl.json. - Or save the page to Zotero and export from there (see Save to Zotero).
An entry looks like this:
@article{lecun2015deep,
title = {Deep learning},
author = {LeCun, Yann and Bengio, Yoshua and Hinton, Geoffrey},
journal = {Nature},
year = {2015},
volume = {521},
number = {7553},
pages = {436--444},
doi = {10.1038/nature14539},
url = {https://nobleid.org/ark:/48914/w1/20261005/EXAMPLE1},
note = {NobleID: NI0P000W000R000S000; ark:/48914/w1/20261005/EXAMPLE1}
}yearis the year the work was published.urlis the persistent ARK link;notenames the NobleID and the ARK.
2. Overleaf
Create references.bib in the project (or upload the downloaded file), paste the entry, and cite it by its key. With biblatex:
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage[backend=biber,style=authoryear]{biblatex}
\usepackage{hyperref}
\addbibresource{references.bib}
\begin{document}
Deep networks learn representations \autocite{lecun2015deep}.
\printbibliography
\end{document}With classic BibTeX, pick a style that prints url (for example plainnat, or IEEEtran):
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{url} % prints the ARK link in the url field
\usepackage{hyperref}
\begin{document}
Deep networks learn representations \cite{lecun2015deep}.
\bibliographystyle{plainnat} % a style that prints url, doi and note
\bibliography{references}
\end{document}If you keep references in Zotero, Overleaf's Zotero integration can import them, ARK URL included.
3. OpenAI Prism
Prism compiles ordinary LaTeX with a .bib file, so the same entry works. Two ways in:
- Add or upload a
.bibfile to the project and paste or download the entry into it, then\cite{lecun2015deep}. - Or save NobleID works to your Zotero library and use Prism's Zotero sync.
Citing without a DOI
The ARK is a persistent identifier in its own right. Cite it as the URL, as the entry already does. For more styles (APA, MLA, Chicago, IEEE) see Citation examples.
